farm

I took this picture today at a nature conservation/farm area near my house. Its ISO is 125 and Aperture is f 2.7 and shutter speed 1/80. I took it in sepia to make it look older.

Sky in the lens

In the picture, there is sky. The blue color is not the sky, this is car's window. I took this in the car. I think this photo is very interesting. Because I took my film camera's lens with my digital camera!

between the trees

1/13 f3.5
-1.0 exposure
ISO 200
This was taken indoors at night so the shadows from the objects and trees were cast by the lights in the mall. I love how dramatic the lighting is and how the colors in the picture go well together. I also like the view from which I took it

baby raccoon!

I took this picture in Florida when I was on a nature walk. My mom and I heard rustling in the trees and we looked in and there was a family of three raccoons walking in a line. They came through and opening in the trees and I snapped this shot. I was really really close to the raccoon (kindof scary) and I took this at 1/80 shutter speed, 200 ISO, and f 3.5.

cartwheel

These pictures were taken at Melbourne Beach in Florida just before the sun was setting. I really like the way the sun hits her hair in the first image. It was taken with a nikon d60.

Snowy Lake

I Love the rays given off by the sun in this photo and the way the colors reflect off the snow. I'm not sure if I like the sign in the picture. On one hand it gives the picture a nice depth of field, yet the snow does that too. comments? Settings: Shutter 1/1600, F20, ISO 1600, WB shade.

Back Again

These two pictures were also taken at Umass Lowel. I had taken some really cool sunset pictures there before and I wanted to go back and try again. I love how the sky looks in the top picture and the trees in the bottom. Let me know what you think. Settings: ISO 1600, WB Shade. Top= 1/1000 F16. Bottom= 1/500 F20.

Smile People!

This is a picture of some friends of mine at Umass Lowel. I love the earthy colors they have on and the fact that I actually got both of them to smile. The settings were: Shutter 1/125, F5.6, White balance- shade and ISO was 1600.

the invisible meeting

I really liked the dark setting and the lighting was different. I like the highlights in the table, chairs and the floor.
1/30 F3.5
-1.0 exposure
ISO 100

Holliston Restaurant

I took in Holliston Restaurant. It's look like a countryside restaurant. I like the angle. I don't like tthe man in edge.

flowers and sailboat

I took this picture in Florida. It is a canal and their flowers stuck out way over the canal. I took it at f 4.0 and 1/160 shutter speed and 80 ISO at about 3:00. The contrast of the whites and the pinks was what made me want to take this picture. :)

The Buccaneer's are back!

I took this today around 7am. I was down The Cape greeting my brother from his 2 month trip. I like how the ship bleeds off both sides of the picture. I also really like how the sky was captured.
this picture was taken on the same day as the previous picture.
i had my wide angle lens on, so that explains the vignette, and also there was a window right next to the flowers, and the color of the flowers and the glass fish tank also next to it, all reflected onto the wall.
This picture was taken at my friends house-digital.
ISO was 200
slightly out of focus, but i like it

Macaw

I took these pictures in Florida this week. I took them at 1/60 shutter speed and around 1:00. It was taken outside but under a roof so that is why there is not harsh light on the bird. I like the blue background behind the blue bird and how cool the face is. :)

Seat belt

I took this in the car. I took this almost 4 o'clock. The sun set in that time. I like that a half is sky and the other side is in car. I think it's intersting.

over yonder..a man in the distance

I chose this picture out of the several others I took of my friend walkin down this path because I like the shadows and how his figure is dark and mysterious. In the other pictures, more detail of Stephen was seen. I like how it is also a action shot since he is walking away and it makes the viewer wonder. The lighting and contrast is what makes this photo. However, sign on the right and exit sign are a little distracting.

A Rainbow of Fire

I took this in NH. My dad put a log on the fire and all blues, purples and greens filled the fire place. I thought it was beautiful and really interesting. I took it really zoomed in and no flash.

Bench

Today I walked around a lake. Next to the lake, there is a field. In the field, half is snow and half is not snow. I like the shadow. Especially I like a person in the backround. I think it's cute!

Rainbow

I was walking to dunkin donuts and Kathleen and I saw a rainbow reflection on the ground. I thought it was cool so I took a picture of it. However, I only had the camera on my phone, so the quality isn't the greatest, but i still thought it was pretty cool.

up close and personal

I really like this piture because of the bold staged background. The background truly adds to the picture and makes it look more professional (like a back drop) even though the content of the picture is not serious. The sun was coming in from a window to her right and was facing her also. I like the highlights in her eyes lips and tongue. The lighting was not harsh, it was more subtle..you can tell because her face almost looks soft-touched. Also all the colors in this picture work really well together. The purple scarf brings out the brown hair and the blue brings out the orange and yellow in her shirt. Her eyes are full of colors. This was taken around 11 AM
