Bubello_Flowers

I took this photo in my house without falsh. I used the macro setting on my camera. I like the detail that the camera caught on the flowers. I also thought that the depth of feild was nice in this photo. I used a white sheet of paper as the backaround which really allowed the color of the flowers to stand out.

Bache_Water Bottle

I took this picture outside in the school parking lot in the afternoon. Even though this isn't a macro-photography photo, I had my camera set on the macro photography setting so it would be clear and focused when I zoomed in. I like how there is alot of color even thoughh it is a picture of empty clear plastic recycling.

Garner_Eiffel Tower

Yesterday, I had the idea that taking a photo of my Eiffel Tower charm.  It was taken with out flash using only a desk lamp for light. The lamp was placed in a slight angle to give a shadow to the tower. I place the tower on a paper towel to cover up the patterned surface. The paper towel gave it texture and added to the amount of shadows present in the photo. The top one is unedited. The bottom photo, I changed to black and white. Then, I raised the contrast, color temperature, as well as, the tint. I lowered the brightness and slightly straightened the photo to make it a more flattering photo in my eyes.

Palencia_DNA

I took this photograph wednesday during GH. I like  how the colors of the DNA reflect onto the black top creating a glow. If I could change anything I would try to include more of the structure and put in a better background.

Yale Peabody Museum

I took this picture when I visited "Yale Peabody Museum." Overall, I like this picture except some failures: I don't like the darkness on the both doors compare to its outside. I see too much difference of  brightness between the sky and the doors. The building seems to be tilted on left side (from viewing right-hand side).

Reichart_Apple Pie

This picture was taken with no flash, but an overhead light and natural light coming in from the window.

Fair_Bricks

I took this photo of the chimney on my house. I like how the bricks are different colors and some have white on them. This photo was taken in late afternoon as the sun was setting using natural light. I like the highlighted spot on the upper portion of this photo. If I could improve one thing, I would make it more in focus.

Dilbarian_ door

I took this picture mid-day with direct sunlight and no flash.  i really like this picture because it is strange.  it is a door about 15 feet up on the side of a building going to nowhere.  i also like how the door looks really old and worn and kinda mysterious

Flavia_SunSet

This is a picture of the sun setting. I like this picture because how the trees, power lines, and street lights  are kind of like silhouettes. I also like how the sun is really bright and colorful.

Tomlinson_S'mores

this is a photo of s'mores. it was taken with flourescent light and no flash.

Brossi_Trees

I took this photo of the trees and the sky on sunday morning.  There is a little bit of sun light that shines through the trees, but it doesn't over expose the picture. So you can tell that it's sunny out without the whole picture being over exposed.  All the trees are different colors; red, green and yellow. This was taken with natural light

MacDougall_Scarecrow

I took this photo on my mantle today in my living room around 9:30am. I only used the available light coming in through the window directly across from the mantle. I really like the details and the highlights on the scarecrow itself, and the soft shadow behind it on the white wall. But if I could change something, it would be to get a better angle of the subject because the other decoration on the left side of the photo distracts from the scarecrow.

mcgrath_street

This is a picture I took of my street last Sunday. I used the natural light and no flash. It was a little rainy and cloudy that day. I like the way the light reflects in the middle of the road.

Duchaney_Birdhouses

Taken with a Nikon Coolpix L810 using only the afternoon light coming in from the window. These are some birdhouses that I painted when I was younger on a windowsill in my porch. I really like how the larger birdhouse faces the camera directly and straight on while everything else in the photograph is slanted away in a different direction. I also like the light and how it is coming from behind the subject, though there are some light spots and the top of the photo is very bright.

Lanefski_Climbing Hold

This is a photograph of a climbing hold at Central Rock Gym in Worcester. I took it the Saturday before last. I took this with a Canon Rebel xS qith no flash, natural sunlight. The Iso Level was at Automatic. I like this picture because the color of the "A" really pops against the background. If I could change one thing about this photograph it would be the distracting black background spot.

Namubiru_Boston Building

I took this when i was on the bus coming back to school from a volleyball away game ion Boston. I like that there's a bit of a car at the corner, the curvy brick wall, and the reflection and flare of the glass.

Bubello_Watch

I took this photo in my home without flash and using the macro settings. I liked this photo because of the details that you can see one the watch and because of the natural sunlgiht on it. I also liked how the dark backround really draws your eyest towards the watch.
