Bubello_Flower

I took this photo without flash, while shooting in class for the light project. I really like the bright colors of the flowers that really pop. I also like the depth of field. The flower in the front is in really good focus and the rest of the photo is mainly out of focus. I think that the light reflects well off the flowers also, which makes the photo more interesting.

ParkerY_Doorway face

This picture was at the doors outside of the auditorium. I picked this picture because you can see a face a little bit and I thought it looked pretty cool. The lighting in the door seems to work well and the doors  in both the foreground and background seems to be pretty good.

Yifan_ The park

I took this photo this afternoon in the park near my home. I was planning to take a picture of children playing in the gorund, but only a few kids in the park. I think if the photo only has trees, grass, houses, and the sun would be boring, but the kids running on the ground made the photo alive. Because it was in the afternoon, so the light was fine, and I can see the kid's shadows. I think one thing I need to improve is that there should be more sky in the photo.

Burnham_Tree

I took this photo outside during photography class on Wednesday.  I chose the photo because I really like the angle of the tree and most of the sky is covered by leaves.  I also love the way the light looks behind the leaves and how it's shinning through the leaves.

Alex_Faucet

I chose this photograph for my miscellaneous project because it shows an interesting focus upon the running faucet in slow-motion.  I really like this photo mainly because of the contrast in the surrounding background was pulled out-of-focus, the different shades of black, white and gray. I also like how the natural light from the sun reflected behind the target. It pulls the viewers attention toward an artistic perspective on shadows, light, contrast, and the depth of detail. I also like how the water in slow motion captures a full range of view in this photograph, and it reflects mostly towards the importance of life on earth. I took this photo in my kitchen using natural light, macro, black and white, and without flash.

I took this photo of tree bark in my back yard. I really love the way its shaped and how some of the bark is rough and came off in some patches. The color kind of changes as it goes up and i wish i had taken a longer shot of the tree bark.

Correia_Light

This is a photo of the one of the lights I have outside my house that line my walkway. I did not use flash on this photo because I did not want to take away from the natural sun like figure the light gives off on the stones. The red mulch really goes well with the tan stone an with the sun like figure the light gives off I think it really brings out the feel of the colors. The one thing I wish this photo didn't show was the green leaves in the top left. I believe the color of the mulch would be more eye appealing because I feel the leaves just take away from overall feel of the photo.

Brossi_Flower

I took this photo when I went to the cape over the weekend.  There was a lot of sun overhead, and I didn't use a flash.  I like how there are many different color greens and yellows in the photo but the flower is a darker shade of green and yellow, which makes it stand out.  I also like how clear the flower is and how in focus it looks, making the contrast between that and the blurry looking grass look interesting and like the flower is popping out.

Jordina flowers

This is a photo that I took in the school on friday, without flash. The photo that I took is the first one and in the other two you can see how did I crop it and edit the colors; add contrast and colorful. I like this sequence because it shows how with a normal picture (the first one) you can transform it to a coolest one with the computer.
I like the last two photos because the contrast between the yellow of the flower and the dark of the background. I think that the last one is really cool because of the diferent yellows, oranges and red that you can see in the differents flowers.

I chose this photo that I took, outside of school on a cloudy day. I chose this picture, because of the contrast of color in the petals. I also like it because you can see how it's focused on, not just the petal but also the leaves. I was also able to blur the other plant that is on the left so you can concentrate on the flower. Something I thought was really interesting is you can see  how different each flower is from each other, some are healthy and others are almost dieing.

James_Boats

I took these three pictures on Sunday on the Charles River. I like how the sun shines off of the boat. My favorite photo is the second photo, I like this photo because of the buildings in the back of the photo. I also noticed the difference in the water. In the first photo the water is very calm and in the second photo the water is a little more choppy. The only thing I would change is the focus/zoom on the first two photo's to give the boat a better scale.

Warr_Lily

I took these pictures while playing outside with my sister on a sunny Sunday afternoon. I like them both equally and couldn't choose between the two so I posted them both. I like the first photo because it is focused on her fist and the rest of the picture is blurry. I also like the vivid green tones. I like the second picture mainly because it is an action shot. Her hair and arm show motion in the photo. I also like how blue the sky looks. I don't like how her shirt looks overexposed and my shadow is on her stomach, but I couldn't figure out how to fix either of those things.

Sara_ Leaves

I took these photos outside the school on a sunny day around mid-day.  I like these photos because of the way the sun shines on the leaves but the photo is not overexposed.  I also like how they cast shadows on each other.  I think that the leaves in the background make the photo focused on the main subject, the leaves.  Lastly, i think they branch in the second photo is distracting.

Khan_Leaf

I took this picture outside the school when it was sunny. I really like the texture of the grass and the leaf, and I like how the colors of both of them contrast. The sun is reflecting off of the leaf, which makes the colors look prettier.

Bubello_misc

I took this photo with my camera without flash. I really like this photo because of the contrast between the green and the blue. The bright blue really brings out the colors in the green leaves. I also like that the leaves are in crisp focus which makes for a much better quality photo.
