Garner_Senior Pictures

I took this picture this today. I was taking Morgan's back up senior pictures. This was taken at the Grist Mill in Sudbury. Though it was sunny out, it was taking in the shade with the flash covered by my hand. I used the portrait setting on my camera. She was leaning against an old wooden barn which gave the picture texture. I focused on her nose to put her entire face in focus and blur the background.

Palencia_Rocks

I took this photo yesterday afternoon when I was walking up my driveway. I like the angle of the frame as well as the crisp focus at the top edge of the frame. The yellow leaf gives some color to the gray pebbles.

Bache_Table Legs and Twig Spheres

I took this picture in my kitchen with our overhead lights on. I took this photo at an ISO speed of 800 and set the white balance at the fluorescent setting. I like the shadows of light through the holes between each twig in each sphere. If I were to change one thing about this photo it would be to edit the photo to eliminate the big, distrcting, black, empty drill hole in the green "table leg", and maybe do the same with the discoloration in the green leg, located right below the black drill hole.

Flavia_Star

I took this picture during photography class when we were testing all of our cameras. I used flash in this picture because it was too dark without the flash so you couldn't really see the star. In this picture I like how all the hands form a star and in the background there are all different shoes.

claxton-doornob

i took this pictur of a doornob.  it was in black and white, and the light was frome the floresint bulb.  i like how u can see the reflection in it.

Dilbarian_pink poms

I took this picture on Saturday afternoon at the Marian Football Game.  It was an overcast day and windy.  I like this picture because it has alot of depth and I love how the pink pom poms really stand out against the green grass and the red track.

Namubiru_Banana Chair

i took this with no flash, only indirect morning sunlight. i was ouside of Welsley College with bananas and chairs for the walk for peace. i like the fall colors of this picture.

Flavia_Bee on Red Flower

This is a picture of a bee on a flower. I took this picture so close to the bee without being stung because the bee was dead. In this picture I like how the bee is in the middle of the flower. Also I like how the flower is a bright color. The blurred background gives a nice effect to the picture.

McGrath_Tops

I took this photo at about 3 o'clock in the afternoon while I was outside. I had to crop it because I noticed a bit of the strap attached to my camera was showing, so the side looks a little awkward. I like that some of the tops are in motion and some are standing still. I took this on the auto setting with no flash.

Reichart_Starbucks

This is a picture that I took at Starbucks of the cup with my name on it. No flash was used, but the picture is lit by both artificial and natural lighting.

Duchaney_Beatles CDs

I took this in my dining room using the overhead light without flash on a Nikon Coolpix L810. I've always loved the reflectivness and the rainbows within CDs. I also wanted to have a theme so I used only Beatles CDs. I wish I had either used a more transparent string or hung them in a different way, so the string would be less distracting. I also wish the reflection in the CDs was plain, so it wouldn't take away from the words. I wanted to include A Hard Day's Night in the cropped version, because I loved the horizontal layout of the origional. However, that would have included an ugly, distracting piece of the dark window in the corner. As a result, the edited version is more square shaped. The cropped version also seems burrier than the origional.

Tomlinson_feet

this is a photo of my friend Riley's feet. it was taken with flash and flourecent light

RebeccaLanefski_Crayons

I took this at Six Flags New England today. I saw these crayons that were a prize and I really liked the different colors. I think it would've been better if I was able to get the red crayon into the photograph. This was taken with a Canon Rebel XS E05. Natural light, no flash.

Palencia_Fire Hydrant

I took this photo in the late afternoon when I went to Bj's with my mom. I like how the red stands out from the dead grass, and the chipping of the paint on the hydrant compliments the rugged look of the photo. I like the angle it was taken in. I think its more athsteticlly pleasing how the fire hydrant is not in the center of the photo. If I could change anything i
would try to focus more on the red fire hydrant and possibly the words engraved on it.

Bache_Wine Glass

These are two photos of wine glasses in my china cabinet, with christmas lights placed around them. I took both photos at an ISO speed of 800 and set the white balance at the fluorescent setting. I took many pictures of these glasses at different angles, but I liked the apperance of high angle the best. I also like how theres a 3-D effect on the glasses. When you look at the paint on the sides of the glasses, you can see the streaks of the bristles.

Fair_Compact Mirror and Camera

I took this photo during photograhy class last week. I did not use flash. I set an opened compact mirror on the desk and placed my camera at the end of it. The mirror and camera are resting on a patterned folder.  I like the way the lense is reflected in the mirror. To me, it resembles a kaleidoscope. If I were to retake this photo, I would cener the camera more.

Bubello_Timer

I took this photo in photography class without flash and with only sunlight. I liked the way that the timer reflected the light from the sun and I also liked how the camera brought out the details of the timer.  The colors in the photo also caught my eye.

Brossi_Pumpkins

I took this photo on Sunday morning at 10:45 outside of my house.  I didn't use flash, just natural light.  I like how this photo represents fall and all the different shades of oranges.  The small pumpkin stands out next to the bigger ones and the green bush.
