Dilbarian_ Hanging Lantern

I took this picture at my grandparent house while they were packing and geting ready to move.  i like how the light casts a shadow onto the back of the wall.  i also like how the lantern looks really old.

Palencia_sunset

I took this photograph at around 4pm two days ago. It amazed me how red the sky looked after looking so blue 5 minutes ago.  I like how you can see the outline of several different trees. The sky is a mix of pink, red and yellow.

Cha_Harvard Gate

I took this photo from the Harvard which is located beside the statue of John Harvard. I was trying to take photo from the bottom of the door so that I can take whole door in the picture.

Reichart_Squirrel

This is a picture of a squirrel in the Boston Common.  There weren't many clouds out, but it was in the late afternoon so the sun was going down slowly.

Brossi_City

I took this photo when I went to Nashville, Tennessee.  I was on a bridge overlooking the water.  I took this with natural light

Condon_Sister

I took this picture about a week ago. Up close, you see part of a tree that is focused up, but in the background is my sister Erin. She is leaning on another tree, but is blurred out in the background. I like this picture because it shows the detail of the bark on the tree but just the blurred effect of Erin.

Flavia_Beni The Dog

I took a picture of my dog, Beni. I called his name and he looked straight at me. In this picture I like how he is the focused subject of the whole picture. I also like how the background is blurry. I thought that the arm of the chair was distracting so I cropped it out, as shown in the second picture.

Fair_Eggs

This was one photo that I used for the "Let Me Tell You About_____" project. I like how there is a limited amount of colors. Also, I think the cross looks nice against the eggs and I like the way the greens plants surronds the bowl. This was taken with a Sony Bloggie on the portrait setting. It was a partly sunny day. I used no flash. If I could retake this photo I would center the bowl more so it would not be cut off at the top.

Namubiru_Lake

I took this picture with no flash, only afternoon light at the lake by the school. The thin i like most about it is the reflection of the water.

mcgrath_cross walk

I took this picture right outside of Marian a couple weeks ago. It was a sunny day and I didn't use flash. I dont like the leaves in the buttom corner but there was no way to crop them out without making the rest of the picture look strange.

Duchaney_Frog...or Toad

I took this with my Canon PowerShot SX110IS on macro setting using only natural light. I found this little guy when I was raking leaves. This was the last photo that I was able to take of him before he moved and hid his head under some grass, and it was also the only photo that I took at this head-on angle. I like how he is well in focus, and I like how his red/brown color matches that of the leaves. I think the yellowish spot at the top left corner is a little distracting, and I wish the colors were a little brighter.

Bache_License Plate

I took this photo after school on Wednesday afternoon. I thought the license plate was funny so I decided  to take a photo of it. My camera was set on the macro setting so I could get the details of the license plate in crisp focus. The one thing that I wanted to change was eliminating the distraction in the top right corner of the image. I ended up croping the distraction out, after trying to edit it for a while and resulting in a very noticible, terribly edited photo. I intend on improving in that area.
