Bubello_Bee

I took this photo with my camera, without flash, and using the macro setting. I really liked this photo because I was able to catch the bee on the flower in clear focus. I also liked this photo because the yellows in the flowers really pop. I decided to crop this photo into a square because I thought that it made it for a much more interesting photo and got rid of some of the negative space.

BDilbarian_Pumpkin

I took this picture today as i was working on my 15 assignment. It was took on my front steps. I like this picture because it shows the texture of the pumpkin in the stem and on the orange part. I like how it shows such a vibrant orange color and the light shining off the pumpkin and the base of the stem.

Burnham_cat

I took this photo of my cat, Rose, in my backyard.   I really like the back round in the photo, I love the way the bushes look at this angle it makes them look a lot taller than they really are.  I also like how my cat is not looking right at the camera but at something behind the camera.  I think this makes the photo look more interesting.  I only wish that there were at as many over exposed spots in the trees.

Santos_misc

I took this photo a while ago of my friend Paula in the hallway. She didn't want me to take it so she tried to put her hand on the lense but I took it before she could. I thought it looked cool how the only focused part of the picture is her face. Everything else like the lockers, the frame and especially her hand are blurred out. I noticed how I could focus more on her face, but overall I really like how it came out because you can see how happy she is !

Yifan_misc

I took this photo in the afternoon on last Sunday. I think I like the shadow of the trees on the ground, and the whole picture was bright. The drawback was the shadow of a road sign on the bottom of left corner, which did not show on the photo. And if there was a person sitting on the chair, or a dog running on the ground, or kids playing together would made this photo alive and better.

Correia_Ferrari

This is black & white photo of one of my model Ferrari's I have in my room. I took many photos of the Ferrari but this one stood out to me the most. My favorite part of this photo isn't so much the car, its the floor underneath the car. I like how the floor shows a reflection of the Ferrari and gives off a really glossy, shiny look. I also like how by the angle the Ferrari is at, its brings the movement of the photo from a blurry top left to a crisp bottom right.

Saccone_Sky

I took this photo this weekend in St. Petersburg, Florida. It was a shot from the balcony of my hotel room over looking the beach. I chose this photo because I really like the way that 75% of the photo is focused on the sky, while the other 25% is ocean. Usually when on a beach people try to focus more on the water and sand, but the sky looked as if it were about to storm, kind of gloomy. I also like the different shades on white, yellow, and grey that are given off by the little bit of light peaking through the clouds. However, I wish that the small object floating in the water was not there.

Ming_Light

I took this photo in the park which colse by my home. I post this photo because i think the there is tow light line. And there seems like some differents color in the grass is green, light green, grey, some look like yellow.......And there also have a horizon in the middle which make the photo divide into tow parts. And the weather is good.

Warr_Flowers

This is a photo of the centerpiece on my dinner table. I took it indoors with flash. I like this photo a lot because of the strong, vibrant colors in the flowers and also in the bowl in the back ground. I also like that the picture is focused on the orange flower in the front, and the rest of the photo is blurry.

Brown Peace Dollar

I took this photo in my bedroom on the floor. In the photo I used one of my coins from my old us coin collection. I took this photo of my 1923 peace dollar to use for my subject. I like it how the background is all blurred out and the coin isn't blurred out. It makes your eyes focus only on the coin. I used both an overhead light and a lamp light to get the light glare on the coin makes it look much more interesting. The coin has some dings in it but the quality is great other than that.

Alex_ Rain shower

I chose these photos for my miscellaneous post because, they both capture an interesting lighting effect with the rain falling down in these photos. I like these photos mainly because, of the glow on the falling water, the illusion of drifting light, the contrast of colors, high detail (along the edge of the roof), different tones of white, gray, brown, and green in the top left corner in the first photo. I also like these photos because of the different patterns and groups of lines. This gives the viewer a visual perspective view in this angle. I really like the angle I used for this photo because, it makes this photo really appealing, it draws your focus towards the direction of the rain falling down. I really wish I could have adjusted the lens flare in the second photo because, it overexposed some artistic details and glow to this photo. If these photos were not partially distorted, it would create a much more interesting effect for the viewer. I also wish these photos weren't overexposed for the sky because, it would make these photos appear much more intense and dramatic. I also would think these would photos would be much  more interesting if they weren't partially out of focus in some of the rain droplets in the two photos. I took these photos in my kitchen, without flash, used auto adjustments, ISO speed of 80, macro, and natural lighting.

Khan_Turtle

I took this picture of a decoration piece. I really like it because it is focused on the turtle and the background is blurred out. I also like how the colors in the background make the color of the turtle stand out more. Also, the reflections of all the decoration pieces make the picture stand out more.

Dowding_island

I took this photograph over the summer on Martha's Vineyard. I really like this photo because of the scenery and the color of the sky, and the woodsy area in the distance. Now that i look back a it, it is a little over exposed and i could have just taken one more of the bridge.

James_Flowers

I took this photo without the flash. I like the difference in the pink throughout the flower. I think a little more light towards the back would make this an even better photo. I like the angle of the shot also. This was taken on the large photo setting on my camera.

Jordina apples

I took this photo with natural light and without flash when I went apple picking with my host family, it was a beautiful day. I like the picture for the colorful sky and the green of the tree but I would prefer that the red of the apples were more hard and colofrul,  I think it would make a better photo.

Sara_ T.S. Kennedy

I took this photo while at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy on sunday.  It was very overcast and cloudy.  I like this photo because of the different colors in the burgee flags on the ship and the angle of the shot.  I also like the way the ropes run up through the shot onto the ships because it adds movement.  lastly, i dont like the bushes over in the corner because they cause distractions

BDilbarian_Football

I took this picture of the Marian football team last night when they were playing on the Cape at Mass Maritime. I took it with my dads good nikon camera which has a great zoom. I took it when they were about to line up. I like this picture because it shows character and emotion. I cropped this picture from the original because I think it makes you look at all the players and all aspects of the photo and not just player number eight. I also like this picture because I like the way all the players are positioned.

Brossi_Tree

I took this photo early Sunday morning just after it rained.  The green in the woods really stood out to me and all the colors were so vibrant.  I like how there is such a mix of different greens, reds and yellows in this photo in the background and in the foreground because it seems to tie it all together. The sky is over exposed but I think that adds more attention to the tree, which is the main subject of the photo because it is so dark.  I took this photo with natural light and no flash.
