Garner_Swings

I took this photograph today. I went outside to see how high the snow was in my backyard and realized how pretty the shadows that peeked through the trees looked on the snow. I used the auto setting on my camera with the longer lens. I love the way it turned out.

Flavia_Pink Sunset

I took a picture of a really pretty and pink sunset. I like this photo because of how the trees are silhouettes. I also like the bright pink the sunset formed. The pink sunset sort of forms a gradient throughout the sky. Some distractions that are in this photo are the light posts and the sign in the left hand corner. I just how they are all white it is really distracting to me.

Cha_locks

This is the picture I found from my old USB drive. I took this picture when I lived in China for a while. This is the picture of locks on the great wall. The unique thing about this picture is the angle that I took this picture from, an angle which is little bit tilted and gives the unique look. However, there is a little problem; if you gives close look of it, you will find out whole picture is blurred. Beside the fact, I like this picture.

Reichart_toy car

This is a picture of a toy car that I took from the science fair. My camera was on the close up setting which is why the front of the car is in really good focus but starts to blur as you look to the back. I like how clear it is in the front, but the over head light is a bit distracting.

Brossi_Road

I took this picture when I went skiing. The light was dim and i used no flash. I like the mood of this picture and how it is gloomy because of all the different grays and dark colors.

McGrath_PottedPlant

I took this photo several weeks ago of the plant on my kitchen counter. I like the picture from this angle, but I wish the leaf to the right was more in focus. I also like how the green stem pops out against the neutral gravel.

Lanefski_Scale

I took this photograph with my Nikon D3200. I took this photo when we went to the labs to take pictures of the science fair projects. I really like the detail in all the numbers and dashes between the numbers. Part of the picture is in focus, and part of it isn't, which I think adds to the photo overall. I think the light reflecting from the window also makes the photograph more interesting.

Condon_YellowFlowers

I took this picture awhile ago, I think it was from one of the color projects. I can't fully remember if I have already used this photo but the only way I am able to upload this at the moment is from my phone, but I did take this with my camera. I really love this photo because the yellow of the flowers pop out and are so vibrant against the green stems and brown mulch. I also like for one of the details of the photograph is that some flowers are more in focus than other flowers.

Shoes!_Namubiru

I took these two photographs against a wooden floor background and direct fluorescent light. In the first one, I like how the shows aren't directly in the center of the photo. I also didn't take the shot directly overhead. The second photograph is a closeup of the heels of the shoes. I arranged the shoes in a circular position so it would add to the photo.

Duchaney_Paper

rotate left
I took these photos of some pieces of paper with my Canon Powershot 110ISIS on indoor macro setting. The only source of light is from a flashlight I was shining through from behind. I like how the text front and back as well as the yellow highlighter shows through and overlaps. I like how, even though the top one is taken straight on, the angle makes it interesting. I like how the second one is taken at an angle and how there is a transition from light to dark, but I wish the darker end was clearer.

Bache_Paper SnowFlake

I like these photos because of the movement and shadows. From the numerous directions of the paper cut outs make for a more interesting photo with great detail and composition. I also like the shadows, the different levels of the paper snowflake create more shadows having a more three dimentional object.

MacDougall_Flower Buds

I took these photos a little over a week ago. This is a potted plant that was in my sink being watered. There is a window directly in front of the sink and I liked the lighting so I grabbed my camera. I had a hard time focusing on the flower itself, and in each photo, the petals have spots that are a bit overexposed. But I do like the clarity of the green leaves under each bud. I like how you can see the fuzziness of the leaves and how the light shines through them and shows the little veins. I also think that the lens flares in each photo make them a lot more interesting to look at because I think that it adds a little warmth to the photos because of the sunlight from the window.

Fair_Car

I took this photo in the bio lab during class time. I used a Sony bloggie camera on the portrait setting. I like the way the bright yellow color looks against the black table. I like the plain white background. I like they way the light coming in from the windows emphasizes the shiny plastic.

Bubello_Grass

I took this photo of a Science Fair Project without flash and using the macro setting. I really liked the depth of field in this photo. Only a few of the strands of grass are in crisp focus and the rest are out of focus. The grass also becomes increasingly out of focus throughout this photograph. I also liked how some of the bright green and yellow pigments in the grass really pop in this photo.

DIlbarian_ birch tree

I took these photos right before sunset in the beginning of winter.  I really like these photo because of the colors contrasting in the birch tree.  I also like the depth of field and ow you can see the pieces of bark falling off of the tree.  I also like how there is almost a warm pink color at the top of the branches because the sun was just setting.  If I could change the photos, I would change the angles to make the photos a little more interesting.
