I took this photo last week on a cloudy afternoon. I actually took this by accident because I was zooming on the plant because I wanted to see what was on the water, And when I looked back to it and thought it came out really cool. I like the flow the flow of the river and how the plant is just a silhouette. And since this picture wasn't taken on a really sunny day the water is a tone of blue and light gray. I also like the reflection of the plant on the water.

I took this photos on the way to a Chinese resturant with my friends. the leaves all around the ground which make the photo feel a litle bit sad. And the leaves on the tree become yellow which mean the fall. I really like this photo ,just feel it's beautiful.

I took this photo when I walked to an Asian store with my roommates this afternoon. It was around 5 o'clock, and we were looking for some nice things to shoot, then we walked to this park and found the sunset was really pretty. I like this photo also because the sun light made the leaves look yellower, and I like the blue sky and the leaves on the ground.

I chose this photo to post this week because I really like the story that it can tell. I found these old photos that my grandfather took during the Korean war, so I decided to take a picture of the pictures with the old wooden boards behind them. I also like this photo because it has a old, used, kind of theme to it. But I wish that little crack that shows a little light, or different color, in the wood was not there. I did use my flash for this  because I wanted to try and make an intentional glare on the photo.

I took this photo tonight when I was on the top of a Ferris Wheel with my friends. I really like the way the sun is setting behind the trees in this photo and the way the sky looks in this photo.  I just really don't like the bottom of the photo because you can see some of the park through the tree and it really takes away from the photo.

Correia_StillLife

This is a photo I took of a bamboo plant that I had in my house. I edited the photo so only the green of the leaves would stick out and so that it brought the focus of the picture into the center. I cropped this photo just a little on the right side so it would cut away from all the distracting objects in the background. I personally like photos that just take one color and make it pop. By doing this, it brings more warmth and feel into the photo and from my point of view, makes the photo a lot better.

This is a still life photo I took. It was taken in my backyard on a sunny afternoon. I like this photo because of the contrast between the trees and the ground, because the green/brown color combination looks very pretty. I also like the sunny background behind the trees because it adds light to the photo.

Sara_ wooden bench

I took this picture outside the school mid- afternoon on a sunny day.  I like the highlights on the paint and the way sunlight reflects off of the bench.  I also like the way the photo has continuously parallel lines but the photo is symmetric.  I also like how short the depth of field is so that you can see the details in the wood of the bench and the nails are accented.  Lastly, I like how the yellow lines on the pavement are also parallel.  I think it is very appealing.

Brown_Still Life

I chose to use this photo for my still life project because I thought it was interesting how the light had reflected on the model car. I chose to use my Back to the Future Delorean diecast model for my subject for the photo. I like it how the light was aiming directly onto the back side of the car making an interesting effect on the photo. The sun's light also is reflecting onto the floor of my room casting the shadow of the car. Since only one curtain was open it only reflected on one side of the car and not the other, makes it a bit more interesting to the viewer. The rest of the background is slightly blurred and much of it can be noticeable to the viewer. The left and right gullwing doors are too overexposed in the photo because of the sunlight reflecting in through my window. I wish that when I took that it wouldn't overexpose the car and the carpet in this photo, and that more of the car was in focus on the left side of the photo. It still is an interesting photo that has many different colors in it such as green, white, silver, blue, red, black, and tan in this one photo.

I recently took this picture of a candle on a wood table in my house. I like this photo because i like how the grain of the wood mixes well with the orange colored candle and the yellow flame. I also like this picture because of how vivid it is and how it ties in with the holiday of Halloween. I finally like the angle that i took this  picture at.

I chose this photo for my still life assignment because I think this photo had an interesting appearance. I like this photo because of the lighting, contrast, focus, depth of field, tone, and texture. I like how the light is casted on the leaves because it captures the full detail of the leaf structure. I also like how the other leaves are blurred out of focus because it keeps your eye on the focus point. I also like this photo because of the different shadows, and range of colors which brings this photo to the viewers perspective. I also like the blurred background because it creates a mosaic-like effect to this still life. I also like how the leaf was almost perfectly centered because it creates an interesting appearance to this still life photo. This also makes the photo appear much more structurally, and artistically for this photo. I think the landscape behind the leaves, out of focus makes this photo look much more interesting. I wish the tip of the leaf wasn't partially blurred out because it distorts the important qualities of nature for this still life photo. I also wish this photo wasn't too bright because it affects the appearance to this photo for the viewers appeal. I took this photo with auto focus settings, macro, without flash, and using the manual ISO speed. I took this photo outside in natural light, with some slight natural errors.

I took this photo on a cloudy day. I took the photo without the flash. I like this photo because of the contrast of colors in the flower. I like the spot of yellow in the middle of the flower and the white around the outside of the flower. I like the dark green leaves at the bottom of the photo also.

I took this picture at the charles river during the Head of the Charles Regatta.  I like this picture because the lighting in the picture is good, there is some depth in the picture, and the reflective light in the picture draws the person's towards the center.
