MacDougall_Flowers
I took these photos a couple of weeks ago in my living room. The light I used was the available light from the window and from an overhead light. But I do not like how the overhead light creates a lot of shadows. But I do like the colors in these photos. I like how in the top photo, the petal that was closer to the lens is out of focus while the one that was father away is more clear. Also in the bottom photo, I like how the petals that were farther from the lens are more in focus than the buds in the upper right hand corner of the photo.

Flavia_First Sign Of Spring
I took this photo at my house where there were these flowers starting to pop out of the ground. I took it when the sun was shining really bright directly at the plant. I like how it is really detailed in the front where the mulch and plant is and then blurry in the back.
Bache_Skittle
I took these photos for my Extraordinarily Ordinary project. This green skittle was taken on a stool that I flipped upsidedown. I flipped it because there was more that I could do with the subject. I liked the second image better because of the colors, positioning and lighting. I also like this one better because I know I put more effort in it. It took some time to get the skittle to stay and capture the image in good light at a good angle. I like that both images have wide ranges of depth of field, and both have good lighting. I took them right in frount of a window.
Brossi_flowers
I took this picture outside of my house on sunday morning. it was sunny out and the shaddows off the flowers were reflecting onto the house which made the flowers stand out more. I like the contrast and lighting in this photo. i took this with no flash
Dilbarian_ fisherman
I took this picture when I was in New Hampshire. I thought it would be cool to capture the fisherman and their boats. I think the poles in the back are distracting but they are part of the landscape. I also wish i could have gotten closer the the boats but they were far out into the water and i could only zoom in so far. Over all i like the picture.
Namubiru_Oreo
I took this photo with direct sunlight in early afternoon. I used this for my extraordinarily ordinary assignment because you don't usually see mint oreos in the midst of flowers. I like the shallow depth of field at the top of the oreo, and I like the sunshine shining through from above. The background on the bottom left is a bit distracting though.
Reichart_Jar-Cup
I took this picture at night when it was dark outside and only used one set of lights, but they were not directly above the object. I used the close-up setting and and wanted there to be sharpness around the jar, but to also show how it looked through it.
Tomlinson_pineapple
I took this picture for the extraordinarily ordinary. I like how the pineapple is in in crisp focus and there is a clear distinction between the pineapple and the woods
mcgrath_grill
I took this photo of my grill for the third term project. It was a sunny day out. I used no flash and my camera's micro setting. I like how the bright the colors are and how in focus the ash is.
Lanefski_BrokenBoardwalk
I took this in Connecticut this past weekend. I went to a beach in Norwalk and I found a boardwalk that was ravaged by Hurricane Sandy. I really like the juxtaposition of the beautiful peaceful water and islands and the broken pier. I like the blues in this photograph. I wish I could've gotten the boardwalk into clearer focus.
Bubello_StainGlass
I took this photo at Fatima Shrine using my phone and only the light available. I really liked how the light was coming through the stained glass and reflecting onto the walls. I also liked the different variety of colors that really catches the eye of the viewer. I liked how the angle draws your eyes upwards. I thought it made the photo very unique.
Duchaney_Map
I took this with my Canon Powershot SX110IS on macro indoor setting. The map was folded once, and I held it up to my window, so some of the graphics on the other side showed through slightly more faded in reverse. I like how this creates layers. I also like how "FRANKLIN," the brightest part of the photo, is clearly the main focal point, as everything gets blurrier as it fades out from it. I do wish tht the "FRANKLIN" was clearer, like the 458, but this could also be due to the fact that the actual type on the map was printed clearer using the black ink than the red, not due to the focus of my camera.
Somto__My shadow.
I took this picture in my backyard at home. I also used this picture as one of my ordinary and extraodinary photo. I like this picture because you can see my shadow in the background and the sun is also bright in the picture. I took this photo in both black and white so that everyone could compare it.
Condon_Flowers
I took this picture for the project last term and I used it as extraordinary because it is a different type of pink flower in a vase full of yellow flowers. I like this picture because the pink flower is in really good focus. One thing I would change would be to either crop the bottom or put it in better focus.
Fair_Spoons
I like the angle of this photo and how the spoons cast shadows on the wall. I also like how the spoons are arranged like flowers in the ground. This is a cropped photo because the original photo had a corner of a window in it. If I could change one thing about this photo I would make the spoons be in more clear focus.
