I like how you can see a clear difference between the texture of the pinepple and the woods. I think if it was in front of a brighter background it would stand out more.
I agree that the crisp focus of the pineapple in opposed to the foreground is excellent. However, you could have made the subject stand out as even more "extraordinary" by choosing a simpler background that was not composed of primarily the same colors as the subject, because the white house in the background is a little distracting. I also think it could have improved the photo to remove the tag.
I agree that it would have been a lot better if I had used a background that was more contrasting
