Bubello_Still Life

I took this photo with my camera, without flash, and using the macro setting. I really liked this photo because of the shapes that were created because of the light and the reflections from some of the sparkles on this decoration. I also really liked the yellow colors that were created by the light in this photograph.

Warr_Lock

I took this picture of a lock on a fence near the convent on Tuesday morning. I chose this photo because I like that the lock is in focus and that the rest of the picture is blurry. I also like the vibrant greens and blues. The third thing I like about this photo is the contrast between the metal and the plant life in the photo.

Yan_StillLife

I took this picture on my way to Boston on the highway. I chose this photo because I like the colors in the picture and how all the leaves have that acrylic look. The colors in the picture were red, orange, yellow, and green. Each of the colors are very bold and stands out.

Yifan_Stilllife

I took this photo of "stilllife" this morning in the back yard of our house. The leaves were falling in the autumn, and I like the leaves' different colors. Today's sun was bright, I could even see the sunshine on the ground. The leaves were all dryed out, and I think the colors represent the season fall.

Warr_Still Life_Mary Statue

I took this photo of the Mary statue near the entrance of the school. I took it last week using natural light and no flash. I really like it because even though it looks like a living person, it is just a statue. I like all the subtle, light colors and I also the way her eyes connect with the camera.

Brossi_StillLife

I took this picture Sunday at my soccer game.  I used natural light and no flash.  I like how the green grass in the background matches the green water bottles without taking away from them. I wish the sun wasn't so bright in this photo and I wish the back water bottles were not so over exposed.

james_still

I like this photo because of the simple color. I also like how nothing else comes across the photo to take away from the bark on the tree. I took this photo behind my house during the afternoon. The only thing I would photoshop, the bark on the left side of the photo. I don't like how it sticks out of the tree like that.

Burnham_Still life

I took this photo of a lamp that I have in my bedroom.  I really like the way the light from the lamp reflects on the wall.  I also like the way lamp looks at this angle.  I only wish I could have captured the refection of the light a little better and I also wish that the photo was focused a little better.

stilllife_MING

I took this photo in the yard. This photo have the horizon at the middle. And the weather also very good and the sunlight irradiate at the yard which make the photo look more beautiful. There is miny different color on the leaves, like green,yellow,red,grey,orange,etc....

BDilbarian_Still Life

I recently took this picture of a sox hat in my room. I chose this picture for my still life assignment because I like the angle that it is taken at. I also like how the light hits the red stitching in the symbol. I like how you can see the grains and material of the old hat. I like how the wall as my back drop complements the navy blue and the red in the hat. If i was to change something it would be the the focus on this picture.

Alex_Still Life

I chose this photo for my still life assignment because, I thought this photo was the best among 60 photographs i had taken yesterday. I like this photo mainly because of the many varieties of color, depth-of-field, contrast, and saturation. I also like this photo because of the water reflection, and the slightly visible water movement perfectly aligned with the lower branch of the cedar tree. This makes the photo appear better. I also like how the setting of the bay draws upon the subject point-of-view on the cedar tree. I think the most important part of this photo is the location style because it draws your focus on a few things like, the water channel, the wild plants, hills, and the cedar tree. I also like how this photo blurred the water channel out and the wild plants along it. This creates an artistic feel and viewpoint towards the viewer, which is the most important part. This also lets the viewer identify different things in this photo and create a describe their feel in this photograph. This photograph was taken on Saturday morning around 10:15 in Rhode Island. I took this photograph with natural lighting, auto focus, auto ISO speed, auto adjustment setting, multi AF focus, auto white balance, without flash, and using normal contrast settings. I wish some of the berries on the cedar tree weren't out of focus because it took away some artistic details for this still life photograph. I also wish I could change the exposure levels for the sky, water, and the landscape styles in the background. If this photo was not partially exposed it would look much more interesting, and appear more naturally.

Correia_Reflection

This is a photo of 5 apples I found while in my kitchen, I used a setting on my camera that would make all of the green stand out that was reflecting light. This was my favorite photo I took because the apples are the center of attention. I lined the apples up from smallest to largest to make the photo flow to the right. I also chose this photo because it really captured the reflection of the apples onto my granite island really well.

Sara_ rust

I took this picture outside of school one day on a sunny afternoon.  I like this photo for a couple reasons.  I like it because of the depth of field.  I like how the most focused part of the photo is the most interesting in texture.  I like the difference in colors in the rust, paint and pole itself.  I also like the angle and the colors in the background.  I think the yellow lines on the pavement are very distracting.  Lastly, I like the light reflecting off of the pole.

Bubello_Still Life

I took this photo with my camera, without flash, and using the macro setting. I really like the depth of field in this photo and that only part of the earrings are in focus. I also really like the colors of the jewel in this photo and the light that is reflected off of the earrings. I chose to use photoshop in this photo to make it much lighter and more interesting overall.

Santos_Still Life

I took this picture, today on a sunny afternoon. This is a picture of an abandoned train track that is rusty. I like how you can see the texture of  the old metal. Also the light source on the top left of the tracks helps you see it was taken during the day. I would like it better, if it was more focused on the bottom of the image because then more texture would be visible.

Khan_Heart

I took this picture of Cristian's arm. The reason this picture caught my eye is the color contrast, and the fact that the details stand out very well. The color of the T-shirt and the heart drawn on his arm contrast very well together. This picture just over all seemed very unique to me.

Brown_Still Life

I chose this photo because I like it how the sunlight had reflected from my family room skylight window. I chose to use a baseball for my subject because it would have best effect to the photo. I like it how the sunlight casted onto my baseball making an interesting shadow outline to the right of the photo. I liked that with all the sun reflecting in the area of the room where the baseball is made the mirror behind the baseball all black. I also like it how everything in the background is completely blurred and out of focus, when the photo is viewed close up. In the photo the black lines on the ground are reflected from the skylight window pane shadows are also reflected on the stairs. which also gives the photo a bit of feeling that it almost looks like it could be a very realistic painting. This makes the photo much more interesting for the viewer, with the full feeling that the baseball is rolling toward the camera. This makes the photo have three dimensional look to it that it is about to pop out of the photo and bounce onto the ground in front of the person who's viewing the photo. I thought this was the perfect moment to take this photo and I was glad to take it when the sun was reflecting in this area of the room if I didn't take it I don't think the photo would have looked as interesting as this one.

Saccone_Still Life

I chose this picture for my still life picture because I really like the symmetry of the bricks and the way that they have two different colors. I took this photo at school on Friday of the shed in the parking lot. I also like the simplicity of the photo, but if you pay close attention to the make up of the bricks it gets more complex.
