Correia_Reflection

This is a photo of 5 apples I found while in my kitchen, I used a setting on my camera that would make all of the green stand out that was reflecting light. This was my favorite photo I took because the apples are the center of attention. I lined the apples up from smallest to largest to make the photo flow to the right. I also chose this photo because it really captured the reflection of the apples onto my granite island really well.

I really like this photo because it has a very interesting crossover from black & white to color in this still life photo. I really think this draws your attention on the subject of this still life. I also like how the other partial subject in color is the island because it gives the viewer a sense of artistic dimensions in range. I also really like how the bottom surface of the apple is desaturated, because this keeps your eyes on the visual identity for the still life. I think the most amazing part in your photo is the counter because of the many different light patterns surrounding the foreground. I Also think the counter has an interesting depth of field to the viewer, which is important to the viewer. A few things I would critique in this photo is the slight hotspots on the apples, because this might subtract range of coloring to this photo. I would also change the framing on the apples on each end. I think If you changed the framing for the corners, this would make your photo have a different appearance to the viewer. I also think it would make this photo look slightly more contrastive if the ends of the apples were visible in this photo. Nice job on this photo. I think this photo was really interesting and creative.

I really like this photo because it is very unique. The different colors and patterns make it more interesting. I also really like how the texture of the counter adds to the photo.
