I thought this was perfect lighting in order to get a silhouette since I had trouble taking silhouettes before. Although the whole bacground isnt fully lit to emphasize the outline, i still like how there is some detail in the silhouette. This picture was taken right before sunset around 4:15 PM

Vanessa, this picture is so pretty! I like the way it is so dark even though its a picture of the sun. I love the outlining of the clouds. The only thing that is a little distracting to me is the fence just becasue it looks like a very rural-ish kindof picture and the fence is not really in that theme, but i think you did a really good job on the sillhouettes! very nice :)

i love this, and i love the silhouettes in it.
the fence, the tree branches etc. look awesome, not to mention the light coming through the clouds.
maybe you could have raised your camera up a little bit, so that not so much of the black band was at the bottom, and you could see more of the sky, and just see the tops of the trees and the top of the fence.
