for the first photo, i aimed for it to be a "dreamy" photo of my cat. i took it with this specific background because i wanted a simple background with minimal detail, but i didnt want it to be just one plain color.
the second photo was taken around the same time as the first photo. i put my other cat in the window and adjusted my camera settings and the lighting in the room so i could achieve this silhouette.
for the third photo, i used natural light and i used manual focus so i could completly blur the background and get only one area of the branch in focus.

i really like the first cat photo. the white background and the lighting really does give the "dreamy" effect you were going for.
kathleen monahan, you have the best eye for focus EVER!!!!!!!!!! you so good at making things in the forground out of focus and vice versa and so sharp!!!!
