for the top photo, i adjusted the settings on my camera to achieve this faded, streaky look. my main focus was on the silhouette of the bird. the only editing done was a slight crop and darkening of the tones.
the second photo is a shot of a forest when it was foggy out. my main focus was to break up the tree branches using the empty space behind the trees. i converted it to sepia.

I love the top picture and the way everything moves to the top right corner, creating flow. I also like the blurry, streaky look to it. The birds add a very interesting touch to the picture as well.
I love how the reds really stand out in the top photo and the movement you get through the picture.
