Monday, January 12

I took this picture at a field by my house.
I took it in black and white, and added a layer on photoshop to enhance the old feel.
PS-
does anyone in photo think it might be a good idea to try and get out work out there by asking local places if they would be interested in doing some kind of MHS  photo exhibit? I've seen that Framingham Public has done a lot of those with their photo classes, would anyone be interested ? Mr. Barry? We could possibly start at the Framingham Library down the street...?

Mountain trees

I took this in NH. I took it through the window on the car. I like how the trees are in focus and the mountain in blured. It was taken with no flash, around 1 in the afternoon.

Rocky Flower

This was taken around noon in December. The shutter was on 200 and the white balance was on shade i believe. I like how the sun is peeking into the picture in the corner, highlighting Siobhan's feet and giving the rocks intense highlights/shadows. (love my fish eye lens!) XD

Picture of a Picture

This was taken indoors around 10pm with no flash. I can't remember the aperture settings but I believe the iso was 200 and the white balance was set to shade.

bench

I took this picture out on a dock area by the ocean after it had been raining. I like the way that the light reflected onto the boards and bench because they were wet, but I think that the light itself is very distracting.

Glass ceiling at Copley plaza

Yeaterday I went to Copley plaza. The ceiling was very interesting. I like polygonal ceiling and color. I took this at nine o'clock, so the center of the ceiling was black but others were yellow.

santa was here

1/30 F 3.5
-1.0 exposure
ISO 200
I used flash in this picture because I did not like the dull yellow glow when I took it without flash. I like the composition and how some of the objects in the picture are cropped.

Palm tree

I took this picture in Grand Cayman Islands at 1/3200 of a second (as fast as my camera goes) to get the sillouette of the palm tree. It was taken around 5 o clock and I used an aperture of f 8.0 :)

lamp post

I really liked the lighting of this picture. It was taken around 9pm without any flash used. ISO 1600

Footprints

I love this picture. There are a lot of footprints. I can see many people clossed this snow.
This picture was taking on manual setting of my dslr.
I don't remember the settings - i always forget write the down, so i don't know the.
i liked the colors, and how it appeared to be a large mountainous landscape, but it's really just a close up of the top of a rock.

snowfall

I took this picture of the ornaments we had hanging off of our chandelier, mainly because i love how the light reflected off of them since it was right above it, and i also liked the white and blue against the red and gold backdrop, with a but of the winter theme on the mantel.

Happy new years!

I took this picture on christmas eve when my parents and I were out seeing christmas lights. These people had tons of lights and I liked the way the picture came out pretty clear for it being so dark out. I took it around 8:00 at a shutter speed of 1/30 of a second.

let it snowww

1/50 F 5.0
exposure:0.0
ISO 2500
I like the highlights in the icicles and the reflections off the windows. The yellow glow adds warmth to the picture. But I don't like the graniness

Chairs

Last weekend I went to Maine. There was a lot of snow. I took some pictures in there. I like this pictures, I think the chairs are very interesting.

winter night

1/80 F3.5
exposure: 0.0
ISO 2500
I chose this picture because I like the compostion and how the flow of the picture goes from dark (the top right hand corner) to light (the lower left hand corner). I think the grainyness gives the picture texture opposed to a crisp shot.

in Grand Cayman Islands

This picture was taken in the Grand Caymans. It actually was somewhat of an accident. I was taking a picture of the sunset and he walked in. I loved the way his hat looked and the way you could see his facial features so I took it anyway. I took it at 1/2000 of a second which made him come out as a complete sillhouette.

Monday, December 22

I took this during one of the calm points of the snow storm. It was taken through a window with no flash. I like the angle and how it focused on the house and everything els on the right is blurned out, and only has a little light.

On Thursday

On Thursday there was many snow! The school started one hour late. I had a lot oh time, so I waked around the hallway. I saw the very strange a trail of cars. It was very funny. I took this no flash.

Saturday, December 20

I took this picture a few weeks ago and just never really got around to posting it. It's a rock thats been by my house since we moved here and is way too big to move. The main reason i like this picture is because it almost lacks in colors except a little bit in the foreground and in the back.

christopher

i chose to post this picture because i liked the color of the sky - and i like the two damage dots on the right side.
i like how Chris is yellow ish because of the contrast between him and the blue.
it's a polaroid- so the settings were all automatic. Flash. ( :/ )
i really enjoy polaroids.

Sunset

This picture was taken late in the afternoon, as the sun was setting. I did not use flash and the camera was on automatic settings. I think the glare towards the center of the picture is a bit distracting, but other than that I like this picture

* snowflakeeeee *

1/640 F3.5
-1.0 exposure
ISO80
I like this picture because of the lighting and shadows. The designs on the blinds are a little distracting but other than that I like the shadow of the dark vertical lines from the overlapping shades.
