I really like this piture because of the bold staged background. The background truly adds to the picture and makes it look more professional (like a back drop) even though the content of the picture is not serious. The sun was coming in from a window to her right and was facing her also. I like the highlights in her eyes lips and tongue. The lighting was not harsh, it was more subtle..you can tell because her face almost looks soft-touched. Also all the colors in this picture work really well together. The purple scarf brings out the brown hair and the blue brings out the orange and yellow in her shirt. Her eyes are full of colors. This was taken around 11 AM

Great job vanessa! This is a beautiful portrait. The lighting in her eyes, the bright colors, the interesting background, fantastic! You should take more pictures using this bacground, it really makes the subject pop.
