chen_running water

i took this picture at a small waterfall in Ashland. i do not have the ND filter yet, so i was useing a polarizer instead. it is pretty the same idea as the ND. i was worry about the aperture is too small so the picture comes out is not sharp enough, but the detail in this picture is pretty good. info: NIKON D90 [50mm F1.4] F16.0 1/5s ISO200

There is great movement in this photo. The soft partially blurry white water makes the branch and reddish leaves stand out.

This picture is amazing, the water is lovely, and I like the movement in the photo.

This picture stands out as two subjects, natural shapes and unatural shapes. The water, as a background, has a natural outline to them which gives the photo a softer tone. Then with the branches sticking out from the water shows the intrusion from the soft tone it was giving off. With these two subjects in mind, they make the picture feel very serene.
