Chen_ still life

i took this picture in New York last week. i think it is a interesting picture, a dove stand on a hawk sculpture. Info: NIKON D90 [70-300mm F4.5-5.6] F5.0 1/400s ISO400. I think the iso shoud be lower because i get enough light in this picture but the quility of this picture looks fine.

The way the bird is standing on the stature is funny and interesting, and the lamps in the background give a good sense of depth. however, the red in the left is very distracting. I would recomend either zooming in more to crop out that area or changing the angle that the photo was taken at.

I like how the pigeon is sitting on top of the statue. I think it makes for an interesting picture. However, the lamp and red signs distract the viewer from the bird. I think that the background, and the lamp makes the photo very "busy".

I like how in the photo you captured a real bird perched on top of a bird statue. I agree with James that the red is distracting and so are the lamps. I would have taken the picture horizontally to get the full bird statue and move the camera a little to the left to cover up the lamp behind the statue. Other than that it is a creative and good photo.

This is a very good quality picture. Everything is really clear but I feel like it would be better if you focused in more on the bird because the background is very distracting.

I really love this picture since we went to NYC together and I know you took lots of nice photos. Plus, this angle is really cool! I love those two birds, no matter the big one or the small one, they both look nice.
