Light

I took this when I was at my friends house. It was in her room. It was taken around 2pm. It was the only light on in the room, and the shades were closed. I like how it is focused on one bead, and the rest are blured in the backround. I there was no falsh
I took this picture on my film camera also. It was taken at a freight yard. i liked the way the graffiti looked.
I took this picture on my mamiya/sekor film camera. It was a cloudy, rainy day, and i set my asa to 400, when my film speed was at 200- so it's saturated.

eerie sunset

I like this picture because of the silhouette of the trees and how they appear to be touching the sky. I did not use flash but i think that the overexposed look makes it more interesting. This was taken from Bowditch field lookin across union ave at around 4:15 PM. The sun could be mistakened for the moon if the sky was darker. If I knew how to minimze the amount of light that hit the camera so that it would not be overexposed, it would have been less harsh.

Stars & Moons

I took this picture in a shop during late afternoon on a rainy day. It was taken on automatic settings with the flash on. I like the angle it was taken from and how it bleeds out of the picture and the shadows that are cast off from it onto the ceiling.

Protest

This photo was taken at a protest in downtown Portsmouth during early afternoon. It was raining and very cloudy out. Vibration reduction was used for this picture. I can't remember whether or not I used the flash or what the camera settings were.

big church

This picture was taken inside of a church in Canada. There was very low light in the church and it was a gloomy day outside. There was no flash used and the shutter speed was at 1/30 to capture the darkness of the church and to prevent some graininess.

Mary!

I think this picture is kind of interesting. It was of little miniature statues of mary in a gift shop. I like the way the mary on the left is tipped over. It was taken indoors using super macro at a shutter speed of 1/30.

Lamp

I took this picture in my friend's house. In stairs there was the lamp. I liked the shadow of the lamp, so I took it. I didn't use flesh. There was just that light.

Ghost

This picture was taken a few days after Halloween on a cloudy day during late afternoon. It was taken with no flash and with a vibration reduction lense. I like how the colors in the picture are very subtle and are not too vibrant in this picture.

starry night

This is a picture of my wallet. I did not use flash. The over exposed area in the top left is from the light directly ahead in the classroom. I used a hot pink peice of paper to reflect some colorful light onto the wallet. My camera was not on a macro setting so it is not in crisp focus but overall I like how it came out.

Wink

I took this with no flash, around 10pm in my room... while my dog was trying to sleep. I chose it because I like the way the light reflects in her eye. It also has a soft tone to it, that makes it easy to look at.
I dont know the setting on my camera.

Speed of Light

I took this picture on my way home from school, which was about 2:30 in the afternoon. I am not sure what the settings were on my camera, only that the flash was off. I was in the back seat of my sisters car and she was probably driving about 30mph when i took this shot. I chose it mainly because i love how the sunbeams look in the picture.

candles

I took this picture at St.Anne's church in Quebec. It was very dark in the church but the candles lit up each colorful class cup. I had a shutter speed of 1/20 of a second and I set my camera to vivid color and cloudy day becasue I liked the orange-ness of the picture.

That link probably doesn't work

So heres the Bruce Davidson photograph that reminded me of the picture I took in post one.
I chose this image because it reminded me of a photograph my Bruce Davidson, which is also my favorite.

storage center

This picture was taken at a boat storage place. I like how there is a reflection of a lot of the boats in the mirror, and then how in the background, there are more that I was facing. It was taken during early afternoon in all natural light.

Witch and pumpkin car

I decorated in my house for Halloween. In the living room, I put on the shelve the witch. The time was 4 o'clock, so there was sunlight. I like this picture, because it is warm color and the shadow is good.

Floating chair

This picture is exteremely random but I like it alot. I like the way the chair looks like its floating. I also like the way the background is not lit at all but the chair has highlights on it. I took this on the stage at marian around before lunchtime I beleive. The exposure was for 1/25 of a second.

Convict Crane

I like the unnatural light in his eyes and on his skin. If I had taken this picture without flash it would have been grainy because there was not a lot of light available. The beowulf mask and padded elbow in the bacground is a little distracting. This is a snapshot of Stephen doing a chin-up so this is an action shot. Unfortunately, the doorway did not have a door to block all the commotion in the bacground.

Withering Petals

I love the colors and points of focus in this picture. I don't remember the what the settings were but it was taken indoors around 3pm on macro.

waiting at the marina

This picture was taken on the automatic setting with vibration reduction lense on. I really like the colors in the picture.
I liked this photo because of the lighting,
I like the lace curtains and the shadow of them on the left side of the wall.
