Burst of Light
I decided to post this picture because i adore the colors streaming from the sun. This was taken through a bush, as you can see, some of the leaves are highlighted by the sun's rays and you can see the blue sky through the "cracks". I'm not sure what all the settings were but I believe the ISO was set to 200.
Racing Against Time
I chose to blog this photo because I absolutely love the warm colors and silhouette. If you look closely, you'll notice a speed boat on the water creating a V-line towards the sun as well as the reflections of trees and buildings along the water's edge. This photo was taken with the shutter speed at 1/1000 and the aperture set to 16.

Last one of New York
This picture was taken in New York City when I was there a few weekends ago. New York City that night was amazing becasue the streets were wet. I was able to capture the bright lights of Radio City Music hall in this picture. It was taken at 1/6 exposure. I love the two people standing on the side becasue I love the contrast of the bright colors and their dark silhouettes.

NYC
This picture was taken in New York City of times square. I used f/2.7 and 1/30 shutter speed. I really like the depth in the picture becasue it starts at the orange sign and goes far down into times square. It almost looks like no people are in times square, which i thought was kind of interesting. =)
Film
I enjoy this picture because it's interesting and kind of perplexing. My film camera is so old crappy so whenever I get my film developed, the people who worked on it always complain about the film getting stuck in canister. In ninety percent of my rolls, there's at least one photo where the next photograph overlaps into the next one, such as this. I really like how this looks, and i think the way the left image is incredibly over exposed plays off well with the right image that's kind of ruined from my camera.

Heaven & Earth
I chose to post this photo to the blog because I absolutely love the different spots of light that the sun gives off. This was taken in a parking lot but I like how the numerous cars give the bottom of the picture a busy atmosphere and depth. I'm not sure what F stop or shutter speed I used to get this shot because I accidentally deleted it off my camera before I could find out... >.<

Creeper
This picture was taking during my internship at Danforth Museum of Art in the kitchen. The window in the door if the kitchen had a cool frosted look and so I had my friend Charlie stand behind it, and in turn got this creepy/cool photo. I don't remember what the settings were on my camera, but there was a warm ambient glow in the room, and I didn't use flash.

New York City Katie Flagg
This picture was taken in New York City this weekend at about 9 o clock. It was taken at 1/6 aperture and f 2.7. No flash was used. I really like this picture because the fog makes it look like the building is dissapearing into the sky. The light on the side was intentional to give the picture depth.

kathleen monahan; favourite photo
this is my favourite photo because i love the look of the reflection of the trees in the water, especially because its raining. the ripples in the pond add more to the photo as well. the lime green colour of the grass gives off the feel of summer, and it makes the photo more interesting because the green of the grass is a different shade then the green in the tree reflection. i flipped the photo upsidedown as well because i like how it makes you think about it, and how the water looks like the ground and the grass looks like the sky. i also love the way the ducks are all huddled together, and how focused they are in the photo.
Meg Staff's Best Picture
My Best Image
I LOVE this picture because it reminds me of a rose out of a fairy tale. The clear drops of morning dew and the frost on it's petals add so much to this picture; otherwise the only thing in the picture would be a dull, red rose with thorns. The wetness captured on the flower softens it's appearance and makes it look more precious. I just love how it stand alone...focused as vibrant and vivid in red .
Katie Flagg Favorite Picture
I chose this picture as my favorite photo because not only is it a picture of one my favorite things, but also I love the kind of day it was taken on, and the way the picture is so crisp and there is no blur in any of the runners feet or bodies. Each of them are on what looks like the same foot, and it makes for a really interesting photo.
