Witch and pumpkin car

I decorated in my house for Halloween. In the living room, I put on the shelve the witch. The time was 4 o'clock, so there was sunlight. I like this picture, because it is warm color and the shadow is good.

Floating chair

This picture is exteremely random but I like it alot. I like the way the chair looks like its floating. I also like the way the background is not lit at all but the chair has highlights on it. I took this on the stage at marian around before lunchtime I beleive. The exposure was for 1/25 of a second.

Convict Crane

I like the unnatural light in his eyes and on his skin. If I had taken this picture without flash it would have been grainy because there was not a lot of light available. The beowulf mask and padded elbow in the bacground is a little distracting. This is a snapshot of Stephen doing a chin-up so this is an action shot. Unfortunately, the doorway did not have a door to block all the commotion in the bacground.

Withering Petals

I love the colors and points of focus in this picture. I don't remember the what the settings were but it was taken indoors around 3pm on macro.

waiting at the marina

This picture was taken on the automatic setting with vibration reduction lense on. I really like the colors in the picture.
I liked this photo because of the lighting,
I like the lace curtains and the shadow of them on the left side of the wall.

underglow

This picture is of the underglow my friend put on his golf cart. It was taken at 11 at night. It was on automatic with the flash turned off, so it is not in focus. I like the colors that the lights cast on the ground, though.

moon reflection

This picture was taken at about 11:30 at night. It was taken on the automatic settings without a flash. I don't really like how it isn't in focus because the flash wasn't on, but I like how the moon was reflected in the lake.

On The Tracks

This picture was taken around 2:30 in the afternoon. I unfortunately do not remember what the settings were. My camera was on the "P" setting. I love how the rail leads right to the subject and how the bridge looks like it's falling.<3

smiley face!

I decided to post this picture to the blog becasue it is different than anything I have ever tried. It was taken at about 8 o clock at night (pitch black outside) and I turned off all the lights in my house. I put my camera on a 15 second exposure and shined a flashlight to get the camera to capture its light. I moved the flashlight around in a circle, turned it off, did the eyes, and so forth. Although you can still see some other details, I think its a pretty cool start to learning about long exposures and night photography. =)

view

This picture was taken at my friend's house up at Lake Winnipesaukee, NH. I took it during late afternoon with no flash. I really like the color of the leaves on the tree and how it goes with the red in my friend's shirt.

reflectionnn

I really like this picture because my reflection came out crisp and clear. It almost looks like a panoramic shot because my reflection is transparent and you can see the trees and house through it. I also like how the reflection of the clouds in the sky is on the bottom.

portrait

I think that this is one of the better portraits I took for the assignment. I like how all the features of her face are visible yet somewhat hidden by the glare. I do not find the lit bacground as distracting because there are other detailed things in this picture that draw the viewers focus away from it such as the hair on her arms, the highlights in her eyes, skin and lipgloss.

Tree

Yesterday I went to Noanet. It is a small mountain. On the top., there is just one tree. It is little strange so I took the photo. The sun is right side but yesterday was cloudy. I took no flash. I think sky is beautiful. I like the color.

Dog Days

This was taken around 3pm. I was just playing outside with my cousins and they put my dog in the baby swing. I thought it was cute so I took a few pictures of it. I chose this one to put up b/c I like that she is looking up at the camera.

Colors of fall

I put this up b/c i love the colors, they are just spread out and random. Its was taken with no flash, next to my middle school.

Its Fall!

Take around 2:30pm. No flash. I like that everything has the same shape to it, and the background is almost completely blurred out.

mother of mine

I absolutely love this picture of my mom, i think she looks adorable. I love the warm colors and the look on her face<3 there is also some nice light hitting her eyes. the aperture was set to 7.1

Morning Light

This was taken around 9am (i think) on the 4th floor landing. The flash was off. I like the way the light come through the window, and all lines going all directions.

Portrait!

This was take around 3pm. There was no flash used, and the camera was on the portrait setting. I picked this b/c I like that its angled so she is going form corner to corner, instead of top to bottom, or side to side. I also like that she is in a very natural position and setting.
I chose this image because i think it's interesting. I did ass a ttv layer onto it, but other than that, no editing. I had my camera on Apperture Priotrity setting, but i don't know what the exact settings were. I like the way the sun beams through the petals.

Portrait

This picture was for a portrait assignment. It was taken during early afternoon. It was taken with an Olympus FE-230 on the portrait setting without flash. I chose this picture because it is not one of the pictures where it is obvious the child is doing a pose that makes it look unnatural.

Random!

I decided to upload this picture to the blog becasue it is not exactly my favorite picture. I like the bright colors of the bikes, the highlights, and the way they are lined up, but I feel like the picture needs something more. It was taken around noon time with a shutter speed 1/300th of a second.
