I took this picture in my home without flash. I like how the bright pink of the shoe is really brought out by the darkness and how the shoe gradually fades into the backround.

Garner_Fight To The Finish

This picture is of Nick White, a senior at Marian. This was during their soccer game on Friday afternoon. I took it with the sun to the right of me. It gave it some interesting shadows. I was able to catch the ball mid air as he was in the process of chasing after it. This is unedited from the original picture.  

Duchaney_Bottle Raking

Taken last Sunday in the late afternoon/evening. The person is my dad. It crossed my mind that this could represent both the themes of fall and pollution, but mostly I wanted to see how the clear bottles would appear in the light of that time of day. The edited version has more of the golden lighting that I had hoped for, and the bottles remind me of bubbles. Edited on Word (Sharpen: 25%, Color Saturation: 200%, Color Tone Temperature:11200 K) I would probably try this again on a different day at the same time to get the effect that I was looking for without the editing.

I took this picture in my house in the late afternoon with only sunlight and no flash.  What I like about this photo is the angle and the crip outline of the edges of the vase.  What I would change if i could would be to elimanate teh shadows of the windows and focus solely on the potpurri.

I took this photo last Spring in the Whole Foods parking lot on Rt. 9. I like how the white flowers stand out against the blue sky.

i took this pic at home of my kitty, sammy.  i realy like his eyes, and how its all gray and wight with his green eyes.

Rabinowitz_Tiger Lillies

This is a photo of tiger lillies I had taken in my front yard.  I like all of the coloring and details that the flowers have. The yellow center of the flowers is a nice contrast to the red and orange color that surrounds it.  This was taken with natural sunlight only.

Barbieri_Flag

This is a picture of a flag in downtown Marlborough I took for the calendar project. I really like this picture because the sun was right behind the flag giving it that glowy look. Also I like the flow of it. Something I don't like is the position of the flag but it was windy and I took many shots but this was the best.

Rabinowitz_ Seagull

This is a picture of a seagull I had taken over the weekend when we went to Nantasket Beach.  The things that I really like about this picture is the waves crashing in the background, and the many different shades of blue.  This was taken with no flash, only sunlight.

I took this photo while working on my calendar project. I like this because of the color of the flower. Also, I like this because of the detail that can be seen inside the flower. If i could change something, i would have the flower in the foreground taken out of the photo. Since it's blurry, i think it takes away from the photo.
