This was a picture I took while I was taking pictures for science fair, and then I converted it to black and white because it actually came out pretty well (I didn't end up using it for science fair, it's just my journal :P). I liked the way the midground is in focus and the foreground isn't.

I really like the depth of field in this photo, since you put the camera lens so close to the paper. The pencil in the picture helps give the picture a lot of depth also. I think it looks better in black and white rather than if it was in color too.
I really like the unique angle it was taken at because it really makes you look at the photo more so things like the spring inside the pencil and the curves of the letters really stand out. The depth of field is good, but it has a lot of nice detail on the corners of the picture, so i kind of wish it was less blurry so you could see them more.
