This is a picture from my great aunt's 90th birthday. I chose this picture because i liked the soft lighting from the candles that were on the table. The lighting complemented the dark colors of the chocolate pretzels, coffee, and whites of the cup and table cloth.

I like this photo because the neutral colors keep anything from being too distracting. I also think that the light reflecting on the wrapper and the plate adds more dimension. Something I would've tried to change was the coffee stain on the mug and the objects in the background. but otherwise good job!
The main focal point of this picture, that I would guess, would be the "90th" which just automaticly gives the idea way, even without the "Happy Birthday." This would give the image of an elderly woman since the tag has a girls name on it, which is why this picture is great as it gives a back story. The table set of white with coffee and a present makes the photo emphasize what it is about, a regular birthday party.
