Reichart_Apple Picking

This is a Picture I took last weekend when I went apple picking.  I like how the sky in the background is so bright and comes through the tree branch.

Duchaney_Finian

Today, I was at my cousin's son, Finian's, one year birthday party. This was taken in their backyard with only natural light and a Nikon Coolpix L810. I like how Fin is more in focus than the rest of the people in the background, but I still wish that they weren't necessarily blurry. I also feel like the sky is a little too white rather than blue. But I love the expression on Fin's face and how his "birthday boy" ribbon can be cleary seen.

Dilbarian_ pumpkins

I took this picture at night with no flash, it is only using light from the candles within the pumpkins.  I really like this picture because of the different shades of orange and yellow and how the light radiates out of the pumpkins.

Lanefski_Mushroom

I took this photograph with a flash. I like the different colors in the mushroom and the contrast with the grass.  I also like the puddle of water in the middle of the mushroom. This was taken with a Canon Rebel EOS XS.

Fair_Doorknob

When I went to Sturbridge Village I liked the way all of the antique doors looked. I took this photo because I liked the colors and the texture and way the light hits the handle.  This photo was taken in early afternoon with no flash and outdoor lighting. It was a cloudy day. The camera I used was a Sony Bloggie.

MacDougall_GristMill

I took this at the Grist Mill in Sudbury on Saturday. It was fairly sunny outside, although with wasn't taken in direct sunlight. What I like about this photo is how the waterfall has movement and i also like the texture of the stones. My favorite thing about this photo is how the red of the mill is so prominent against all of the other colors. But what I would change about this photo is the glare from the sun behind the building because it made the photo a bit less clear.

Tomlinson_Cup

this was taken with available light coming in from a window. I didnt use any flash

Flavia_Moss on Block

This is a picture of moss growing in the creases of a stone driveway. No flash was used only natural sunlight (the sun was actually setting). I like how detailed each of the pebbles/stones that are in the block. I also like how the moss is very detailed and there is a shine of sunlight. The thing that I would have liked to fix is the blurry part of the block.

McGrath_Basketball

I took this picture Sunday afternoon in my backyard. It was a cloudy day and it was drizzling. I took it on my camera's auto setting and i didnt use flash. I don't like that you can kind of see my sister's name underneath the word Spalding writen on the ball, because I think it's a little distracting. I like the way all the different colored leaves look around the ball. I also like how you can see the texture of the wall.

Namubiru_Pink Flower

I took this photo at the side of the school. I like the water droplets on the flower how the background has yellow flowers, while the focus point is the pink one. There was no flash, only afternoon light.

Bubello_Flower

I took this photo outside my house using no flash, but I did use the macro setting. I really liked this photo because of the details that the camera caught. The raindrops and the veins of the flower are both very clear. I also liked the lighting on this photo.

Garner_Senior Pictures

I took this picture this today. I was taking Morgan's back up senior pictures. This was taken at the Grist Mill in Sudbury. Though it was sunny out, it was taking in the shade with the flash covered by my hand. I used the portrait setting on my camera. She was leaning against an old wooden barn which gave the picture texture. I focused on her nose to put her entire face in focus and blur the background.

Palencia_Rocks

I took this photo yesterday afternoon when I was walking up my driveway. I like the angle of the frame as well as the crisp focus at the top edge of the frame. The yellow leaf gives some color to the gray pebbles.

Bache_Table Legs and Twig Spheres

I took this picture in my kitchen with our overhead lights on. I took this photo at an ISO speed of 800 and set the white balance at the fluorescent setting. I like the shadows of light through the holes between each twig in each sphere. If I were to change one thing about this photo it would be to edit the photo to eliminate the big, distrcting, black, empty drill hole in the green "table leg", and maybe do the same with the discoloration in the green leg, located right below the black drill hole.

Flavia_Star

I took this picture during photography class when we were testing all of our cameras. I used flash in this picture because it was too dark without the flash so you couldn't really see the star. In this picture I like how all the hands form a star and in the background there are all different shoes.

claxton-doornob

i took this pictur of a doornob.  it was in black and white, and the light was frome the floresint bulb.  i like how u can see the reflection in it.

Dilbarian_pink poms

I took this picture on Saturday afternoon at the Marian Football Game.  It was an overcast day and windy.  I like this picture because it has alot of depth and I love how the pink pom poms really stand out against the green grass and the red track.

Namubiru_Banana Chair

i took this with no flash, only indirect morning sunlight. i was ouside of Welsley College with bananas and chairs for the walk for peace. i like the fall colors of this picture.

Flavia_Bee on Red Flower

This is a picture of a bee on a flower. I took this picture so close to the bee without being stung because the bee was dead. In this picture I like how the bee is in the middle of the flower. Also I like how the flower is a bright color. The blurred background gives a nice effect to the picture.

McGrath_Tops

I took this photo at about 3 o'clock in the afternoon while I was outside. I had to crop it because I noticed a bit of the strap attached to my camera was showing, so the side looks a little awkward. I like that some of the tops are in motion and some are standing still. I took this on the auto setting with no flash.

Reichart_Starbucks

This is a picture that I took at Starbucks of the cup with my name on it. No flash was used, but the picture is lit by both artificial and natural lighting.

Duchaney_Beatles CDs

I took this in my dining room using the overhead light without flash on a Nikon Coolpix L810. I've always loved the reflectivness and the rainbows within CDs. I also wanted to have a theme so I used only Beatles CDs. I wish I had either used a more transparent string or hung them in a different way, so the string would be less distracting. I also wish the reflection in the CDs was plain, so it wouldn't take away from the words. I wanted to include A Hard Day's Night in the cropped version, because I loved the horizontal layout of the origional. However, that would have included an ugly, distracting piece of the dark window in the corner. As a result, the edited version is more square shaped. The cropped version also seems burrier than the origional.
