McGrath_Nail Polishes

I took this picture a few weeks ago in my living room. Someone had life a few of the nail polishes out, and I thought it would work well for the color project. Although I didn't use the photo for that assignment, I still really like this picture. I used only the light from the near by lamp and no flash.

I really like the idea of this photo and the way that the nail polish bottles are arranged along the bottom row. I also like how the bright colors contrast with the neutral off-white colors. However, the writing on five of the bottles is facing out while the writing on the pink and orange bottles are slightly turned away so you can't read the whole thing. Also, the two horizontal bottles are a little awkward because they go in the opposite direction of the way the other bottles are leading the eye. The light spot on the Nicole bottle is a little distracting, and the purple is difficult to read. In addition to the fact that the purple bottle is in a shadow, you can barely see it.
