Bache_Candy Cane

I took this photo on a cloudy day in my sunroom, midafternoon. I really liked the high contrast between the peppermint red and the white of the candycane. I also think the crisp focus of the wrapper draws the viewer in and creates a good interesting image.

I really like this photo. I like how the candy in the front is in focus and the other is not. Since the background is so out of focus, it is not distracting but it is also not boring.

I agree that I like how the candy cane is in focus. I also think it is interesting how the cane itself is sort of like a horizon line, actually dividing the houses on top from the bottom. I think it also could have been more dynamic if the cane had been tilted at an angle, both more diagonal horizontally as well as toward/away from the viewer .

Thank you both for your feedback. I hear what your saying Jeanine I agree with you. I wish I had thought of a way to position the candy cane on the window sill in the moment. I will be sure to look for diferent angles in my next subjects
