I took this picture for the "extraordinary objects" project. It is of corks that I put in the snow, while there was still snow. I took it at about 4 pm with helped the lighting. I like the way the snow is transparent enough to be able to see the name on the cork through the ice. I think this is one of the better pictures I have taken so far this year, because I put thought into the set up and put it together instead of it being spontaneous.

I love this photograph. I like how some of the letters are clearly seen, and I like the details of the snow. I also like the idea of taking a photograph of corks ain the snow. The dark negative space around the top right is a bit distracting, but all in all, great photo.
I problem with the dark negative space in the top right hand corner is that it was the end of one of the corks. I could have cropped it but I would not be the same photograph. I love the way the snow adds texture to the photo. I am proud of this photograph. I can see how much I have grown as a photographer in this picture.
