Rabinowitz_Salt & Pepper

This is a photo I took of salt and pepper shakers that were on our table at a restaurant. When I saw the salt shaker knocked over, I thought it would be an interesting picture to take. The darkness of the wood makes the colors of the salt and pepper stand out.

Overall it is a pretty good picture, the main subject is in good focus, the reflection of the light is very interesting, and there is a lot of detial in the picture, it add the quality of the picture. I think this picture could be better if you follow rule of the thirds, sometime people feel boring if the main subject is in the middle.

The quality of the image is good, and the image has a great composition, but the sharp contrast between the unlit background and the very bright highlights on the shakers is a little garish. I think that if more residual light was used, the contrast would be less stark.
