I like this photograph because it looks like there is a glowing path towards the mug. All of the available light creates a nice shadow. I also like that the mug is in focus and that the window and trees are out of focus. If I could change anything I would crop the picture just a little bit to avoid people from looking at the things on the side.
I like how this picture makes you look closer at the details on and around the cup. At first it's hard to see the design on the cup but then when you blow the picture up you can see the pear, you can see the shadow and even some of the sun rays. I also like the angle/ view it's taken at because you wouldn't usually look at a mug from the ground. But I agree the background is a little distracting.
